Your Opinions Count!
I am in the middle of changing (IMPROVING!) my blog further, thanks to my online blog class.
1) What tools do you like to use on a blog sidebar?
2) My teacher suggested a name change for my blog so that it is clearly an ART BLOG. What do you think about the new name? (The old one was “From the Top of the Cliff”, referring to my studio name, Glencliff Art Studio.)
3) Is this design easy to read and navigate? IF YOU LIKE THIS FORMAT, then I will go back and change the sizes of all my pictures so that they won’t be overwritten by my navigation tools on the right.
Please leave me your comments- positive, negative, neutral- at the bottom of this blog! Thank you, readers!

I love this new layout Lynn. The old one was a stunning look (mainly because I had not seen a blog laid out in that kind of ‘magazine’ style)…however whenever I came by I never really knew where to look so I would just skim and head out.
Now there is no doubt….very easy to read and wonderful to see each image set off by itself.
Also I really like the new blog title….I’m amazed that no one else had grabbed that… with all the art blogs in the world. 😉
Iona, thanks for helping me out here! I’m glad this is easier to use. (I still have a long way to go on the sidebar, since changing the blog format erased what I had before!)
I’ll bet the “Art by Heart” title is used somewhere else- WordPress does not check for that sort of thing, since it is not part of the URL. I should Google it, huh, before settling on it for sure?!?!
Hi Susan, I like your blog layout, easy to read, clean and simple.
About what I use in the sidebar: search, categories, subscribe.
Love the title!
Thanks for your comment on my blog, I’m glad you enjoyed the post about Marian 🙂
Cristina, thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I found out that ‘search’ is not an option with this design. 🙁 I’ll see if I can substitute something similar.
And, you’re welcome, you have a very attractive blog.
I meant Hi Lynn….this is one of those days….sorry!!!
Oh, I’m not bothered by being called by another name. As it is, most of the world pronounces my very English ‘Lin’-sounding name as ‘Leen’. 🙂
Lynn, I like it a lot. It seems much easier to read. I agree with Iona…loved the magazine look like I mentioned before but I had a hard time navigating and finding where to leave a comment. Love the new title!
Sorry Lynn, that was me…the annonymous. I’m on my phone and goofed. 🙂
Hi, Dora. And thanks for the opinions, which are ever-helpful! After Iona’s comment about the title, I thought I’d better check it on google, and sure enough, it is the name of an artist’s website. Sooooo…. a number of google searches later and I chose my newest name… Finding Art in My Heart, which does not appear to be a duplicate of anything else.
Lyn- Like Iona and Donna, I was taken with the magazine layout…but when I opened this, thought “Wow!”. Guess that answers the question! It sounds like it may mean a lot of work for you, but this looks so fresh and clean and inviting. And, I love your mosaic header – delicious! Yours was one of the first blogs I visited from class, and I can’t over the transformation…you’re doing great!
Thanks for the encouragement, Tracey!
Another vote for the new layout! This looks great and I think the name is fun and will probably inspire and lead you into new material for posts. I really like the two types of categories in the sidebar.
Keep up the good blogging work!
Hannah, I e-mailed you, but want to leave a ‘thank you’ message here, too. I really appreciate all the help from my blog classmates and teachers!!!
Lynn,
Yee Ha, girl! What a fabulous new blog name!
And your banner ROCKS! It immediately shows us what you do and who you are.
Your blog is very appealing – much more so now. You’ve done a great job & obviously put in a lot of work. Kudos!
Hey, Deb, thanks so much for ridin’ by and stoppin’ to look around! I’m glad you like the new look and new name. I’m still workin’ on the tags to make it easy to find old posts (that’s blog entries, not fences!).
