The Artist Is/Is Not In Today
Until early this morning, this was my mosaic studio.
I‘m choosing Is Not in for today. We unloaded shelves, setting the contents around as best we could, we moved shelves, we squished my horizontal surfaces together to make a large passageway:

After 10 months of no functional HVAC in a big chunk of our house, including my painting studio, it will be nice to have comfortable air again. Just when the outside temperatures here in Texas are moderating…. only supposed to get up to 89 degrees F today.
Of course, my mosaic studio’s air still matches the outdoor temperatures, but then, this is how most everyone around here lived when I was growing up!
Still, it is very nice to have a cool studio in which to create your art. It may encourage you to work a little longer …. and happier.
Hi, Meg. Thanks for stopping by Texas on this blog. I enjoy your trips to France!
First of all…I LOVE the picture of your studio…it looks like a fabulous apothocary…rows and rows of magnificent jars holding treasure….so intriguing.
Congrats on your upgrade…worth a couple days out of the studio to have comfort throughout your home.
Hey! Here I am…migrated over from Blogger to Word Press. I have soooo much to learn with this new format…first up is how the heck to block the spammers. 20 spams in my first week and I never had one in 3 years on Blogger. Any tips?
Cheers
Iona
I’m sorry about the spammers, Iona. Akismet blocks all my spam messages on this site, and I did nothing to get it started (as far as I know)- I thought it was just built-in to the wordpress system.
I have had nothing but good experiences with the wordpress help desk, though.
My ‘apothecary’ shop- I like the glass jars because I can see what I have AND my tiles don’t scratch the glass as they do the plastic. Good thing I don’t live in an earthquake-prone area!
