Tomorrow morning I am in charge of hanging the Creative Arts Society exhibit at Cypress Grill Restaurant. The art is displayed May 6- July 15, 2010.
First, I take down the exhibit of beautiful paintings by K-5th graders from Cowan Elementary School. Then, I am hanging about 50 works by members of CAS.
The theme requested by the restaurant is ‘Spring in the Texas Hill Country- bicycles, canoes, flowers, etc.’ These are the three paintings I am putting in the exhibit.

What beautiful pieces! Your water is really moving in the first painting. The flower in the second painting is popping right out of my computer screen!
I wish the best with the exhibit!
Thanks, Hannah. I see myself as a mosaic artist, and indeed, that is what I do mostly, and abstract at that. However, at this restaurant venue, I have not ever sold a thing, so I thought I would make paintings specifically for their theme and niche. Truthfully, it was fun. A nice technical challenge for me.
