More on Mo
Let’s go on a trip deep into the Texas Hill Country, land of cattle, sheep, and goat ranching, and more recently, wine-making. Here is a painting commissioned by someone for whom the hill country is as much as jewel as it is for me.
This painting is a view from the hillside chapel at Mo Ranch Presbyterian Assembly. Just visible below is the North Fork of the Guadalupe River, wonderful for swimming and fishing, and River Dorm, the red roof on the right. Thousands of people have stayed here for a weekend, a week, a month, or longer, and carry a love for the place with them always. This is the site of baptisms, weddings, and countless worship services.

Hi Lynn,
Just stopped by to check out your blog site on WordPress. I very much like your new design. The header is gorgeous and alludes to so many things. Your site is easy to read and navigate and the large type size makes it even easier. I love the idea of blogging about favorite places. Mine is looking up at Mount Waialiali, in Kauai. –In rain or shine, it is a sacred place for me.
Thanks, Hannah. I’m glad the design is working out well.
I have never been to Hawaii, but I would love to explore it. I wanna see fire spilling into the brine! I’d love to visit the incredible plants and animals- birds, insects, and all. One day!
I am lucky enough to live in my favorite part of the country-New England! My favorite spot on earth is tiny coast of New Hampshire-rough and rocky.
Charming painting, Lynn!
Thanks, Hannah. I, too, love the New England coast, but I have not been there in 10 years. Time for a trip, huh?
