Detail of World-wide

What in the world?!?!? Exactly! It certainly is a conversation-piece, isn’t it?

I was thinking of cells and growth and malignancy and plague and epidemics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I was thinking of around-the-clock vigilance and charts and diagrams and predictions.
It is worrisome seen from the edge, too!
Using stained glass, glass stringer, glass blobs, mirror, marbles, gravel, vitreous tile, slag, and colored cement, I have created a monster. Boo!

My chief in-house critic thinks it smells intriguing, too.

wow, Lynn… this is so full of texture and interesting shapes! I want to touch it! Its so interesting! I really like it. I’m shocked your kitty is sitting on it though! How brave!
Hi, Helen. Thanks for visiting and for your positive comments. The kitty is actually sitting in one of the holes. They can’t walk on the thing because it is too sharp. We are working on hanging it now. 🙂
Lynn,
This is amazing -the photos are just incredible. Very evocative and challenging.
Nicki! Hi! Thanks for stopping by! My pointy mosaics ARE a little scary, but I do shake the glass tiles in a jar together after I cut them to remove the sharpest edges and points. Less challenging to handle the finished mosaic that way.
