A Rare Uninterrupted Day
No good news, nor bad news. No responsibilities to anything other than the studio. And the cats. Started with a bike ride to eat breakfast with a friend- for me, this is an energizing way to start the day. Change clothes and to the studio I go.
I have started a new “stripe” of my mosaic design, and this is the bottom section of it, about 12 inches across. I worked in the darkest tiles first: eggplant, chocolate, and blue-gray.
The completion of this section represents 7 hours of completely concentrated work.
When I am filling in a design like this, my shapes-and-colors decisions are not too difficult, so I can listen to podcasts. These give my mind something to mull over, and maybe turn into art one day.
Among others, I listened to this old Snap Judgment program. Stories are riveting, but LOVE the way the woman tells the story about her autistic son and his cat!
