Tex-mex Plates #3,4, and 5

“Tex-mex” had gotten to be a theme by the time this commission was requested.  I made the first Tex-mex plate to suggest in color and form the spicy flavors of our local cuisine.  This particular client asked me to make plates for family members living outside the state, and I eagerly jumped into the project.  Since the plates would be all-in-the-family, I wanted to make each especially distinctive.  They contain hand-made ceramics by my mom, Roberta Mitchell, and kiln-made fused glass by me.  I really had fun with these, and went wild with stacking commercially-made glass beads.     –Lynn Bridge
