Broken Blues

This plate, in spite of its name, has a light-hearted feel to it.  Broken pieces of blue-glazed ceramic are used in the border, and  other ceramic shapes custom-made for the artist by her mother, Roberta Mitchell, appear throughout the work.  The plate contains fused glass made by the artist, as well as commercially-made glass beads, glass blobs, and glazed ceramics.  It can be hung using a plate hanger, or can be displayed on an easel.
